GPD PTY LTD, trading as George.Painting ("we," "our," or "us"), operates the GPD Quoting System mobile application (the "App"), a quote management tool for painting contractors. The App is intended for use by George.Painting employees only. Access is granted exclusively through invitation links; users cannot create accounts on their own.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our App. By using the GPD Quoting System app, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

  • Email address - Used to sign in and authenticate your account
  • Password - Stored securely by Firebase Authentication; we do not have access to your password

1.2 Business and Quote Data

  • Client information - Names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses of your clients
  • Quote details - Descriptions, areas, measurements, pricing, and notes for painting quotes
  • Project information - Job details, room descriptions, and specifications

1.3 Media and User Content

  • Photos and videos - Images you capture or select for quote documentation
  • Audio recordings - Voice notes you record for quote documentation
  • Documents - PDFs and other files you attach to quotes

1.4 App Usage and Settings

  • App preferences - Quote defaults, reminder settings, and display preferences
  • Device information - Used for push notifications and app functionality

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide the App - Enable quote creation, editing, and management
  • Authenticate you - Sign you in and keep your account secure
  • Sync your data - Store and sync quotes, clients, and settings across your devices
  • Send reminders - Deliver scheduled notifications for quote follow-ups

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising or marketing to third parties.

3. Where Your Data Is Stored

Your data is stored and processed using:

  • Firebase (Google) - Authentication, Firestore (database), Cloud Storage (photos, videos, and audio), Cloud Messaging (push notifications), and Remote Config. See Google's Privacy Policy and Firebase Terms.
  • Local storage on your device - Some data is stored locally for faster access and offline use.

Data may be processed in the United States or other countries where Firebase or Google operates. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.

5. Permissions We Request

The App may request access to:

  • Camera - To take photos and videos for quote documentation
  • Photo Library - To select existing photos and videos, and to save media to your device
  • Microphone - To record audio notes for quote documentation
  • Notifications - To send you reminders about quotes

You can deny these permissions; however, some features may not work without them.

6. Data Retention

  • Account data - Retained while your account is active
  • Quote and client data - Retained until you delete it or close your account
  • Media files - Stored until you delete the associated quote or your account
  • Local cache - Stored on your device; you can clear it by uninstalling the App

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access - Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction - Request that we correct inaccurate data
  • Deletion - Request that we delete your personal data
  • Portability - Request your data in a portable format
  • Opt-out - Opt out of certain data processing, for example by disabling push notifications in device settings

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication via Firebase, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

9. Children's Privacy

The GPD Quoting System app is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy in the App or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
